Introduction
Since its founding in 2015, The Shred Indoor Skatepark has become the leading destination for skateboarding in Africa. Located in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, it is the only skatepark on the continent with such a longstanding commitment to the sport and its community. The Shred has grown into a vibrant hub for the skateboarding culture in South Africa, attracting everyone from passionate skaters to families with kids and spectators a-like.
More than a skatepark, The Shred covers 2000 sqm, and supports a lively ecosystem of small businesses, offering 12 office spaces, skatestore, coffee shop & restaurant, all around its 800m2 indoor and 200m2 outdoor skatepark. The park's thoughtfully designed concrete and wood/skatelite features accommodate skaters of all levels and serve as an ideal venue for community and branded events. All tier 2 sponsors will receive equal visibility and there will be no competing brands within the same category (e.g. no two shoe brands etc)
